Job Summary

To pack, or wrap and pack, units produced on the Will P42-49 and to assist the "A" Operator in setting up, operating, and maintaining the machine and equipment.


Packs loose, or wraps and packs, spiral books of acceptable quality.  Assists the operator by independently, or helping to perform, the set-up and supporting equipment to rule, cut, insert cover, back, dividers, round corner, punch, drill, and insert wire for various sizes and counts of spiral books. Also maintains ink supply, prepares rolls of paper to load the machine, positions spools of wire, and helps to maintain inventory.  Automatically advances to "A" Operator position to cover absences.  Performs preventative maintenance and prepares daily record of work performed.


High school diploma, or equivalent, required.  Ability to read manufacturing orders, operating manuals, and other related information to operate equipment preferred.  Mechanical ability also preferred, along with ability to use hand tools and hand jacks.  Must be able to perform basic mathematics and work independently.
