About the Role

As a key member of the EMEA Etail Centre of Excellence team, you will lead by example and serve as the main EU contact for promotional and advertising campaign topics. You will play a crucial role within the EMEA Sales team.

Your primary responsibility is to maximise profitable sales through price promotional campaigns such as Prime Day, Back to School, and Black Friday, and equally to optimise AMS campaign activities across the European Amazon Platform. As the Paid Traffic and Conversion Manager EMEA, you will be responsible for partnering with the Etail Sales team to devise and execute AMS promotional campaigns across European markets to meet brand and customer objectives. This includes creating promotional programs to grow focus categories, NPD launches, local hero ranges, and core categories.

Your efforts will directly impact sales results by building and executing Amazon promotional campaigns based on data-driven insights to ensure that commercial performance goals are met across all EU markets. Additionally, you will work closely with the Etail Sales Manager, and regional Key Account Managers to define and execute marketing and promotional priorities aimed at increasing traffic and conversion.

You will also work on increasing sales and improving the visibility of products within the Amazon search engine, starting with keyword research, leading to campaign setup, and ending with continuous bid and content optimisation suggestions. Additionally, you will collaborate with company stakeholders to share and communicate SEM/SEO best practices in relation to Amazon search.

Tracking and analysing campaign data to identify optimisation opportunities will be a key part of your role. You will use campaigns (Ad and Promotions) to drive greater traffic and optimise campaigns continually to improve ROI.

You will work with the Etail Sales Manager to carry out post-promotion analysis (ROI), Campaign Management Planning, and develop the best seasonal/promotional planning across Amazon. Coordinating and working with the Amazon AVS(SVS) directly to activate promotional activity, analysing the best proposition to drive overall sales, and measuring and reviewing promotional effectiveness will be essential tasks.

Researching, testing, and managing relevant keywords, interest groups, and marketing strategies will be part of your role. You will closely monitor campaign performance and develop/maintain reporting to communicate KPIs to key stakeholders and local markets. Managing the budget and working with internal colleagues to plan the needed level of spend across the year will also be your responsibility.

Liaising and managing AMS execution with third-party European agencies to meet your high standards will be part of your role. Preparing and presenting KPI reporting, ongoing analysis of campaign statistics to continually improve ad performance, traffic, ACPC, ACoS/ROAS, CTR, and CPC will be essential. Becoming an expert user of AMS tools and other Amazon-specific marketing tools as needed will be part of your responsibilities. Investigating new campaign/promotional opportunities across EMEA pure player retailers will also be part of your role.

Qualifications, Skills and Attributes you can bring to us:

  • Post-graduate degree in marketing, data science/analytics or business studies
  • PPC, SEM and SEO experience 3-5 years
  • Full understanding of complex KPI dependencies and landing page optimisation.
  • Must be able to communicate well, translate search marketing best practice for internal stakeholders and manage to their high expectations.
  • Exceptional numeracy skills with strong knowledge/ experience of MS Excel & PowerBI.
  • Passion for, and a wide understanding of, all aspects of digital media.
  • Ability to work under pressure.
  • Excellent knowledge of industry tools and latest technologies.
  • Practiced and confident communication and presentational skills, open to alternative viewpoints and able to defend your own.
  • Relevant project management skills and experience.
  • Relevant experience to manage third party suppliers.
  • Ability and willingness to maintain skillset currency in this fast-paced discipline and to grow professionally.
  • Ability to travel within Europe.
