Job Summary

Supervises the receipt and stocking of inventory within the distribution center.

Responsibilities

  • Controls the allocation of labor to receive finished goods, stock within the distribution center, and ship to ACCO customers.
  • Supervises the proper execution of unloading and receiving product from vendors and internal shipments.
  • Supervisors the proper execution of loading outbound shipments in order to meet customer requirements.
  • Ensures accurate inventory records are maintained by following installed systems of finished goods inventory management.
  • Insures the proper training and development of all subordinates and compliance with the Human Resource and Safety Policies and Procedures.
  • Effectively communicates daily productivity, project updates and areas of opportunity to management.
  • Effectively works with peers to ensure overall distribution center goals are met in a safe and cost-effective manner.
  • Responsible or departmental metrics and productivity.
  • Fosters team environment within and between departments.
  • Maintains employee time and attendance.
  • Maintains proper housekeeping.
  • Performs other related duties as may be required.

 

Qualifications

  • Must have a high school diploma or GED.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Knowledge and ability to build and maintain a talented team of employees.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proven ability to lead, encourage, coach/mentor, and inspire team members to excel in their skills and abilities while providing constructive feedback or corrective counseling when necessary.
  • Ensure fair and consistent treatment of all team members.
  • Proven ability to make decisions, delegate, solve problems, conduct meetings, and represent department at internal and external meetings.
  • Basic computer skills that include Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel required.
  • Computer experience with SAP is preferred.
