Job Summary
ACCO Brands is seeking a Customer Marketing Manager to join our team! In this role, you will work as the liaison between the Sales and Marketing organizations. This individual is responsible for developing the broader ACCO story, linking macro consumer trends with brand strategy, and analytics. They are accountable for deciphering what is important, meaningful data, and then communicating the concise story in a way that allows our retail partners to understand the consumer benefits our brands provide within these key macro trends. Given the nature of this functional area, there is considerable linkage between the brand marketing, new product development, sales leadership, and analytics departments.
Responsibilities
- Work closely with sales, product, and brand support teams to ensure marketing efforts align with overall company strategy
- Manage customer communications across various channels to maintain a strong relationship
- Work closely with the Creative Services and Content COE teams to align brand messaging consistently across all channels
- Collaborates with Analytics team to communicate insights and recommendations both verbally and in the form of reports/presentations to internal teams and senior management
- Stay up to date with changing digital media & consumer macro industry trends
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
- 3-5 years of experience in a marketing or sales role is required, preferably with a consumer products company dealing with omni channel customers
- Experience using data and metrics to measure performance and determine improvements
- Must be proficient with MS Office suite, PowerPoint and Excel
- Some experience with Tableau or other data visualization tools
- Strong leadership skills and passion for constant evolution of the digital environment and how consumers are finding new ways to engage with brands
- Detail-oriented with strong organization skills
- Hypothesis driven problem solving skills
- Ability to connect insights and recommendations to support brand goals and business objectives
- Agility and flexibility to adjust to changing priorities
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Stellar communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work collaboratively.
- Strong interpersonal skills: a team player, positive and collaborative
- Willingness to work in a hybrid environment (Tuesday / Wednesday in-office, Lake Zurich, IL) and travel on a limited basis
Salary range: $80,000 - 90,000
