Job Summary

The National Account Manager has Omni-channel responsibilities for developing, executing, and nurturing a collaborative business partnership between Walmart and ACCO Brands. Walmart is one of ACCO Brands most strategic partnerships that delivers strength in market share, essential volume, and opportunities for growth. This role is responsible for being the voice of the customer and communicate strategic objectives, critical needs, opportunities for ACCO to be a solution in all sales channels. This role will be a key contributor to pricing, Joint Business Planning, Sales Plans, go to market strategies as well as providing regular market intelligence to Walmart. For us to accomplish this, we are looking for an entrepreneurial, nimble, and passionate individual to join the ACCO family.


• Direct selling and management accountability for a variety of product categories worth over $20MM in invoice sales for ACCO Brands

• Demonstrate Best in Class account management, driving growth in Revenue and Net Margin to help us achieve and exceed our goals.

• Develop and execute a strategic plan to win for your business, with a clear path to goal achievement

• Ability to be a successful sales leader, acting as the “business manager “of your business, including cross-functional team leadership, financial and analytical savvy and demonstrated thought leadership on how to achieve breakthrough goals at your accounts.

• Own and support managing “Joint Business Plans” for key categories. Must help to build strategies that support both ACCO Brands and JBP goals each fiscal year. Report and provide recommendations on a monthly basis both internally and externally

• Lead sales presentations, business reviews, and category updates using POS, NPD, and additional in-house resources such as marketing, category management, and consumer research

• Manage pricing to ensure alignment and market fairness and competitiveness while meeting the objectives of ACCO Brands

• Works with internal cross functional partners in demand planning, category management, supply Chain, sales support, channel and product marketing teams to develop accurate sales goals and achieve specified levels of business performance accuracy.

• Integrate and collaborate with sales organization to ensure compliance with all contracts and alignment of all opportunities

• Lead process and build strategy for managing channel sales strategy and evolution (growth in pick up today, and E-commerce)

• Build excellent customer relationships with buyers and cross functional customer team members (Planners, Supply Chain, etc.)

• Be the voice of the customer, lead and communicate important initiatives and needs of the customer to deliver collaborative objectives

• Monitors the competitors' brands and products as well as our market share, competitor market share, and target market share to understand trends and opportunities and communicating to appropriate teams that drive results


• Minimum 3 years of major account sales management, marketing and product management or equivalent experience within buying and/or merchandising at retail

• Ideal candidate will have five plus years’ experience working with Walmart

• Undergraduate degree preferred

• 2 years of experience managing a “Joint Business Plan” (JBP) is desired

• Leader with strategic vision, execution focused, track record of overcoming obstacles, and team player not afraid to roll up their sleeves and get into the details

• Knowledge on how to manage a “Joint Business Plan” (JBP) and ability to manipulate/analyze data to ensure financials are on track to targets/goals

• Strong financial and overall business acumen

• Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook) required

• Strong attention to detail and problem resolution skills

• Team player and collaborator with ability to develop strong, productive relationships with colleagues -- Product Development, Product Management, Project Management, Marketing, Finance, Etc.

• Strong planning and organizational skills; proven ability to establish business, product, and market plans with quantitative methods

• Travel up to 20%



Salary Range:  $100,000 - $130,000
