Job Summary

ACCO Brands is seeking an Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) Analyst for the Finance team based in Lake Zurich, IL. The Analyst will work as part of a team responsible for global oversight of internal controls for ACCO Brands Corporation.

Responsibilities

  • Support the organization to ensure appropriate controls are in place that are designed and operating effectively.
  • Assist efforts of the SOX Compliance team to maintain consistency over our global Risk & Control Matrix (“RCM”) and implement best practices.
  • Ensure business process control flow charts are up-to-date in BlackLine Compliance.
  • Manage BlackLine Task Management as a repository for business process control evidence.
  • Work with corporate functions to support the analysis and review of entity-wide controls.
  • Coordinate with local SOX contacts and control owners to analyze and identify IPE (Information Provided by the Entity) and automated controls.
  • Support the annual certification process to establish our global RCM in BlackLine Compliance as well as integrate any updates during the year.
  • Effectively partner with audit to ensure various requirements are met for the completion of the audit.
  • Assist Internal Audit with interim and rollforward ITGC testing.
  • Admin support for BlackLine Compliance and our ITGC SharePoint site.
  • Support automated control testing, SOC-1 reviews, and other testing as required.
  • Ad hoc projects and other duties as determined by manager.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
  • 3+ years related experience
  • Experience with Sarbanes-Oxley IT compliance and/or audit
  • Proficiency with Excel and Word
  • Self-starter with good organizational skills to prioritize workload and meet deadlines
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate clearly and concisely both verbally and in writing
  • Local Candidates only:  Must be available to work Hybrid (T,W) from our Lake Zurich, IL Headquarters

Salary Range: $70,000 - $90,000
