Job Summary

ACCO Brands is seeking a Marketing Manager for our Mississauga, Ontario location.  Reporting to the Senior Director of Marketing, the Marketing Manager is responsible for leading strategic growth opportunities for the Canadian business.  In this role, they will develop category management plans for assigned SBUs within the Commercial channel, identify new customers for existing and new products, develop national and account specific promotional plans and complete annual catalogue reviews for all customers to achieve placement goals. This role will also lead the evolution of strategies that will drive growth in the digital space, while moving away from traditional print media.

Responsibilities

•    Lead business development for identified high potential growth initiatives including Channel, Customer and Product opportunity gap analysis
•    Provide tools and information [i.e. Customer Selling Story] to support the Sales team in customer meetings and planning sessions 
•    Transform and modernize our go to market process by digitizing strategies and initiatives 
•    Lead all brand development activity associated with assigned business including promotional planning, launch programing, PR and social media campaigns and merchandising 
•    Lead development and execution of annual Commercial Channel plan for assigned SBUs/Customers to achieve assigned revenue and profit goals including management of Channel promotional budgets
•    Lead implementation of promotional programs in support of demand generation and other key Commercial events 
•    Collaborate with National Sales team in the development of account specific annual promotional calendars 
•    Drive channel-based competitive research and benchmarking to drive business growth 
•    Collaborate with Product Marketing team to assess competitive strategies and new product concepts to help create new product roadmap.
•    Identify new and emerging customers for existing products and create go-forward recommendation
•    Provide project leadership with cross-functional teams to drive channel results
•    Co-ordinate pricing and product strategy across all Commercial customers
 

Qualifications

•    Post-secondary education with a Degree in Business Administration (preferably with a focus in Marketing)
•    5 - 7 of progressive marketing experience, with experience in Channel marketing 
•    Results driven with a proven track record of success 
•    Demonstrated creativity in developing and launching successful new programs/campaigns
•    Proven track record of working with a Sales on channel development – identifying and converting prospective accounts 
•    Excellent work ethic in managing deadlines with proactive decision making
•    High analytical, strategic thinking, critical thinking, decision making and detail orientation.
•    Strong communication and time management skills with the ability to handle multiple requests and deadlines effectively
•    Ability to think and work independently within a team environment
•    Excellent project management skills and detail oriented
•    Passionate about product marketing
•    Strong interpersonal, communication, presentation and computer skills ((SAP experience is beneficial but not required)
