Job Summary

Performs efficient, cost-effective troubleshooting and repair of production and facility related equipment.  Responsible for assisting to maintain maximum uptime on all manufacturing equipment.


  • Responsible to meet and maintain all established production, quality and safety standards.
  • Support and maintain lean process changes as they occur to ensure sustainability of these initiatives.
  • Assist crews and other operators to insure high productivity and quality.
  • Completes all paperwork associated with the position.
  • Responsible for housekeeping/recycling in his/her work area.
  • Performs efficient, cost-effective troubleshooting and repair of production and facility related equipment.
  • Responsible for assisting to maintain maximum uptime on all manufacturing equipment
  • Other duties as assigned.


  • Must be able to follow verbal and/or written instructions
  • Evidence of excellent attendance.
  • Evidence of good working relationship with other employees.
  • Must be team oriented, quality and safety conscious.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Must be able to identify machine problems or errors, generate solutions and improve efficiency of an operation.
  • Excellent ability to electrically troubleshoot equipment and excellent knowledge of motor control logic.
  • Excellent use of electrical testing equipment and ability to read electrical prints.
  • Excellent knowledge of mechanical to electrical component interfacing.
  • Good working knowledge of Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC’s).
  • Good mechanical ability with sound working knowledge of intricate machine tolerance.
  • Ability to electrically troubleshoot equipment and good knowledge of motor control logic.
  • Sound machining skills inclusive of lathe, mill and surface grinder.
  • Good working knowledge and safety of Radio Frequency (RF, Heat seal equipment).
  • A sense of urgency to get critical equipment up and running to avoid downtime..
  • Demonstrate ability to problem solve and the ability to do root cause analysis.
  • Capable of learning PC based SAP and Maintenance Information System.
  • Candidates may be requested to take a Maintenance test.
  • Must meet requirements of basic skills screening
  • Must meet requirements of a physical capabilities screening.
